Luke Stein is an ever-evolving Melbourne-based DJ, producer and music lover. Since jumping behind the decks in 2001, Luke has continued to hone his technical skills and develop his musical talents, blending genres and styles to create his own unique sound.

The talented artist is a mainstay of Melbourne's underground electronic music scene, where he has supported the likes of KiNK, Ø [Phase], DVS1, Dixon, Moodymann and John Collins of Underground Resistance.

The long-time resident of Revolver Upstairs has been a regular at Melbourne's top clubs including Boney, Section 8, My Aeon, New Guernica and The Mercat, as well as guest appearances at Tokyo's Tusk Bar and Aussie festivals Circoloco, Maitreya and Beyond The Valley.

His DJing style is what you’d expect from a true music lover – comfortable within his realms, yet with the visionary ability that enables him to branch out into other sub-genres.

Forever eager to expand his musical horizons, Luke has now added another string to his bow through his side projects. The introduction of a modular and TR909 to his DJ sets, as well as an improvised live show, has allowed him to display his creativity to a wider audience and at such festivals as Piknic Electronik and Bayblon Festival.

His new live modular project alongside Alexander Nettelbeck on keyboard has been well-recieved, delivering a future jazz sound while combining his love of house and techno music.

Luke has a strong passion for collecting vintage synths and has introduced modular synths to his live shows, while passing on his knowledge to aspiring artists by hosting modular synthesiser workshops across Melbourne.

Whether it's a DJ set or live show, Luke Stein maintains a constant flow of creativity within electronic music and beyond.
